What the site does not do
This is a static website: there are no user accounts, sign-up or comment forms, first-party analytics, tracking pixels or behavioural advertising. The site sets no cookies and does not send browsing data to third-party services contracted by the author.
What stays in your browser
- Theme preference (light/dark): when you use the theme button, your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage (
localStorage, keytheme) so it can be applied on later visits. It never leaves your device and can be removed by clearing the site’s data in your browser. Without a saved choice, the site follows your operating-system preference. - Site search: search runs entirely in your browser, using an index generated together with the site (Pagefind). What you type is not sent to any server.
Hosting and external links
The site is published on GitHub Pages. Like any web server, the hosting provider may log technical access data (such as IP address and requested pages) under its own policies — see the GitHub General Privacy Statement. The author has no access to those logs and does not use them.
Links to external sites (LinkedIn, Lattes, ORCID, Google Scholar, GitHub, journals, public databases) and the share buttons take you to third-party services with their own privacy policies. Sharing happens only when you click.
Fonts and assets
Fonts, images, stylesheets and scripts are served by the site itself, not by third-party content delivery networks.
Data used in research and writing
Research projects and pieces use public, aggregated or properly anonymised data, with attention to the principles of Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (purpose, adequacy, necessity and good faith). No personal data of students, litigants or third parties is published on this site.
Contact
Privacy questions about this site may be sent to the academic e-mail shown on the Contact page, with the subject “Personal website — privacy”.
This policy describes what the site’s code controls. It does not guarantee the behaviour of external providers and destinations.
